Your email address

We ask for your email once, at the point where your results are ready. We use it to show you those results, to send them to you, and — if you subscribe — to tell you about your subscription.

You do not create an account on this site and you do not choose a password here. If you subscribe, we email you a link to set up access afterwards.

How you play

While you play we record your scores and response times, which of the games you finished, and where you stopped if you did not finish. That is what your result is calculated from.

How this page is used

We use PostHog, an analytics tool, to see how people move through this page: which sections get read, which buttons get used, where people drop off. It records page views, clicks, your approximate location worked out from your IP address, and your browser and device type.

PostHog data is sent through this website's own address rather than to a separate tracking domain. It still goes to PostHog — this only changes the route it takes, so the measurement keeps working when a browser or extension blocks third-party tracking domains.

Advertising measurement

We advertise on Meta's platforms, and we need to know which ads actually lead somewhere. Meta's measurement tool runs on this page and reports a small, fixed set of moments back: that the page was viewed, that an email was submitted, that checkout was opened, that something was added, and that a purchase happened — along with the amount and currency of a purchase.

Our server sends Meta the same handful of moments a second time, so measurement survives an ad blocker. With that copy we include a scrambled version of your email address (a one-way hash — Meta cannot read the address back out of it), your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, and Meta's own advertising cookies described below. Meta uses this to match a purchase back to an ad.

What Meta never receives from us: your scores, your answers, your result, which games you played, or how far through the experience you got. That information stays with us.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. You enter your card details directly into Stripe's form — those details never reach our servers and we never store them. Stripe tells us that a payment succeeded, what was bought, and for how much.

Cookies

Small files stored by your browser. We use them for three things:

• Keeping the experience working — remembering where you are in the games and holding your checkout session together.
• Analytics — PostHog sets a cookie so repeat visits from the same browser are recognised as the same visit history.
• Advertising measurement — Meta sets two cookies,_fbp and_fbc, which identify your browser and record which ad you arrived from.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Parts of the experience will stop working if you block the first kind.

Who else sees your information

Only the providers named above — PostHog, Meta, Stripe — and only the specific things described above. We do not sell your information and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep your email and your results for as long as you use NeuroGames, and for a reasonable period afterwards so you can come back and pick up where you left off. Analytics records are kept for a limited retention window and then removed.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — including your email and your results. Contact details will be published on this page before launch.

Children

NeuroGames is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If what we collect or who we share it with changes, we will update this page, and the date on it will say when it last changed.
